Our mission is to transform communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement, and disaster.

For 75 years, cultivating local relationships to build resilience has been at the heart of CWS’s mission. Hunger and poverty, natural disasters and wars – despite these challenges, the unwavering support from CWS donors and friends allowed us to keep working toward a world where everyone has food, voice and a safe place to call home. Together, we ensured communities thrived, families flourished and our neighbors never walked alone. We have a vision of a caring, compassionate world. We believe that, with kindness and faith, there can be enough food, water, shelter and safety for all.
