| Be part of the Welcome

We can't accomplish our work without the help of our generous donors and volunteers. Volunteering can take many forms: Cultural orientation, transportation, youth school tutors, computer literacy, childcare, hot meals, groceries, housing, donation management to name a few. No matter what role a volunteer fills, they play an important part in welcoming newcomers to our community.

| Co-Sponsorship

Co-Sponsorship is a unique opportunity for a community group such as a church or club, to come together with CWS to support a refugee family. This is more involved than volunteering, where the group supports that family during their first few months. Training and guidance is provided before, during, and after. The goal is to help the refugee family achieve self-sufficiency which will be done through day-to-day provision of services. These services will taper off as the family becomes more self-sustaining.

Contact Kyle Hayes at (540) 824-8630 or khayes@cwsglobal.org for more information.

LOOKING FOR OTHER WAYS TO GET INVOLVED?

If you are not able to contribute your time but would still like to support refugees, consider making a donation to CWS Winchester. We also accept in-kind donations.

| Internships

We also offer internships for those who would like to earn school credit or accomplish learning objectives by engaging in nonprofit work and refugee resettlement.

Intern duties vary greatly depending on current needs and opportunities. Regardless of major or areas of interest, all interns are expected to help in all areas of our work as needed.
